 Beat the heat this summer:  Finest Juicy Coolers

Minty Watermelon Breeze

ingredients

  • Watermelon(riper the better)
  • Few mint sprigs
  • 1 lemon
  • Rock salt to taste 
  • Dash of sugar(depending on the sweetness of the watermelon)
  • 4-6  ice cubes 
Cut a whole watermelon into small pieces. Put it into the grinder. Add a dash of rock salt and sugar. Blend the mixture thoroughly. Afterwards, place a colander on a jug and start straining the mixture, removing lumpy bits. Check consistency, if the juice is thick, add water. Next, add a few mint sprigs and squeeze one whole lemon, stir the mixture. Finally, add in ice cubes and refrigerate for a couple of hours. Pour the juice into glasses and add a mint sprig on the side to elevate the juice. Feel the breeze...Enjoy πŸ‰


Tropical Paradise

ingredients

  • 250-400g of pineapple chunks
  • Rock salt to taste
  • Few mint sprigs
  • 1 lemon
  • Sugar (add accordingly to pineapple texture)
Blend pineapple chunks and rock salt in a mixer. Strain the mixture using a colander and place it on a jug, remove the lumpy bits. Add water and sugar (if you have a sweet pineapple, sugar is unnecessary). Add mint sprigs and a squeezed whole lemon. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Finally, add ice cubes and refrigerate. Serve chilled in glasses. Add pineapple and mint sprig. Enjoy this zesty drink🍍


Strawberry Sensation

ingredients

  • 1 cup of cold milk 
  • 250g of strawberries 
  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • Sugar 

In a saucepan add 1 cup of cold milk. Wash the strawberries. Hull the strawberries cutting around the green leaf. Cut the strawberries in half. Transfer them to the milk. Add in a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If required add sugar. Blend the mixture thoroughly. Refrigerate for some time. Pour the mixture in glasses adding a strawberry on the side. Enjoy your very berry strawberry shake πŸ“


Nutty Banana Shake

ingredients

  • 1 cup of cold milk
  • 1 banana
  • 10-12 handfuls of mixed walnuts, almonds and cashews
  • Honey

Pour 1 cup of cold milk into a saucepan. Take a bowl and mash the banana thoroughly using a fork or masher. Give it a smooth texture. Add the mashed banana to the milk and blend both ingredients for a few seconds. After, check for sweetness. Add sugar if required. There should be no lumps formed.  Set the shake in the refrigerator. Using a chopper/mixer grind the nuts. Make sure they are partially coarsed, not powdered. Now, pour the chilled nutty banana shake into glasses. Sprinkle the nuts over the shake. Add a drizzle of honey…Voila! A healthy and nutritious drink is served πŸŒ

Note: To enhance the nutty flavour, add a dollop of peanut butter.
